How to manually run a surveillance rule
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Hadrius evaluates surveillance rules on an automated schedule, but there are times when you may need immediate results—such as after updating rule parameters, testing a new rule, or conducting an ad-hoc compliance review. This guide covers how to manually run a surveillance rule on demand.
Steps to Manually Run a Rule
- Navigate to the Surveillance Rules dashboard: From your Hadrius navigation menu, open the Surveillance Rules dashboard to view your active and configured rules. Locate the specific rule you want to evaluate.
- Run the evaluation: Select the option to run the rule manually. Triggering an immediate run scans your ingested data right away without waiting for the next scheduled cycle to execute.
What happens next?
The manual scan runs in the background. Once the evaluation is complete, any newly flagged communications or items will appear directly in your review queue for investigation.
