Managing user permissions and access

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Permissions in Hadrius are role-based. A user's role controls what they can see and do across the platform.

What admins can do that employees can't

Admins can invite and deactivate users, reset authentication, configure firm settings, review marketing submissions and disclosures, and access all employee data. Employees can complete their own certifications, submit disclosures, and manage their brokerage connections — but can't see other employees' data or change firm settings.

Restricting what a specific admin can access

By default, all admins have the same access level. If your firm needs more granular control — for example, a marketing admin who can approve content but not view disclosures — utilize Groups and Permissions found in the employee directory.

Switching between admin and employee views

Admins can switch to the employee view by clicking the gear icon → Switch to employee view. This is useful for checking what an employee sees or completing your own compliance actions. Switch back the same way.

An employee can't see something they should

Confirm their role is set correctly and that they've logged in at least once after accepting their invite. Some features only appear after initial setup is complete.
