How do I archive my Claude conversations and activity?

Last updated: September 27, 2026

At a glance

  • Typical setup time: About 10 minutes

  • Who you need: A Claude Enterprise organization admin

  • What Hadrius reads: Conversation messages, responses, and metadata

  • History available: Up to 12 months back

Before you begin

This connector requires a Claude Enterprise plan. It uses Anthropic's Compliance API, which is not available on Team or Free plans, and there is no workaround.

Create a Compliance API key

In the Anthropic dashboard, open your organization's settings and go to the API keys section. Create a Compliance API key and copy the value.

Save the key before closing the dialog. You'll paste it into the form below in the last step.

Copy your Organization ID

In the same organization settings, copy your Organization ID.

Add the values to Hadrius

Paste the key into the Compliance Key field below and the ID into the Organization ID field.

FAQ

What gets archived?

Hadrius captures every message your employees send to Claude and every response Claude returns, along with who sent it, when, and which conversation it belongs to. Conversations are stored as complete threads, and your compliance team can search, filter, and export them like any other archived content.

Are file attachments and generated artifacts included?

It depends on what Anthropic's Compliance API provides. File attachments and content Claude generates, such as code or images, may not be captured.

Does anything change for employees?

No. Employees use Claude as normal, and nothing is installed on their computers. Hadrius pulls new conversations from the Compliance API on a regular schedule, entirely on its own infrastructure.

Can Hadrius change anything in Claude?

No. The Compliance API is read-only.

Why can't I archive conversations older than 12 months?

The Compliance API only returns conversations from the last 12 months, so the start date must fall within that window.
