How do I connect Slack for archiving?

Slack requires that the subscription is Enterprise Grid in order to be able to archive messages.

The entire Slack Workspace is archived by default. This includes:

  • all channels in the workspace

  • all channels shared with the workspace

  • all DMs from all members of the workspace (everyone inĀ #general)

We can whitelist certain channels/users by having them set up in a separate sub-workspace. If you'd like to set this up, let us know and we'll help you configure archiving accordingly!


Ensure eDiscovery is enabled

If you're unsure whether eDiscovery is enabled for your Workspace or not, you can get confirmation from Slack support.


Perform Hadrius Authorization

This step needs to be performed by the Workspace Owner. A Workspace Admin does not have the permissions required for this step
