Connecting a Personal Brokerage Account via Plaid or Direct Feed

Overview: Link and manage employee personal brokerage accounts on the platform so trade executions and personal security holdings sync automatically for employee compliance monitoring. Hadrius receives read-only access to trades and holdings, and can never place trades or transfer funds.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Accounts

  1. Log into your platform account.

  2. In the navigation sidebar, go to Employees → Accounts (or click the brokerage connection task in your onboarding dashboard).

  3. Review your currently linked accounts and connection health statuses.

Step 2: Add a New Brokerage Connection

  1. Click the Add account button at the top right of the Accounts table.

  2. Choose your brokerage connection method:

    • Plaid / Electronic OAuth: Search for major retail brokerages (e.g. Schwab, Fidelity, E*TRADE, Robinhood, Interactive Brokers) and authenticate via secure OAuth.

    • Direct Custodian Feed: Select your clearing custodian for institutional direct data feeds.

    • Manual Statement Upload: If your brokerage does not support electronic feeds, select statement upload to submit periodic PDF brokerage statements.

Step 3: Complete Secure Authentication

  1. Follow the external brokerage sign-in portal instructions.

  2. Confirm read-only authorization. Once connected, trades and positions will begin syncing automatically.

Connection Status Reference

  • Good: Active and syncing normally.

  • Broken: Authentication credentials expired; click Reconnect to sign in again.

  • Missing Statements: Manual upload required for the current period.
